John Gibbons

The John moved to Limerick from Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo in 1968. He is a founder member of Quarry Players Limerick, and has taken part in numerous productions with the group since its foundation in 1969. Highlights for the group include the Bishop in The Field and the Papal Nuncio in The Heretic, as well as parts in An Inspector Calls, Witness for the Prosecution, Sive, and Rashomon among many others. John has also appeared with Island Theatre Company, College Players, Torch Players and Black Walk Players. He has also directed several full length and short plays, and has been President of the group on several occasions. He is a constant source of advice and guidance to all of us. (Dec 2009)
