Jean Fay

Jean, who is a life member of Quarry Players, joined the group in 1994. Since joining, she has acted in many productions, including playing Agnes in Dancing at Lughnasa, Heather in Say Cheese!, Mrs. Smith in A Crucial Week in the Life of a Grocers Assistant, Mrs. Tancred in Juno and the Paycock, Portia in Portia Coughlan, Aunt Kate in The Cripple of Inishmaan, Maureen in The Beauty Queen of Leenane and Rosie Redmond in The Plough and the Stars. She has also played parts in In Holy Matrimony, A Time Under Heaven and the Chastitute. She successfully completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Drama and Theatre Studies, and a Masters Degree in Dramatherapy at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Jean is a former Chairperson of Quarry Players, serving from June 1997 to June 2000, and June 2003-June 2004.
